The brief was to design and artwork 33 Interior Spreads for An Official Guide to… THE NEXT STEP! (Based on the popular TV show which airs on CBBC) Using a supplied page plan, editorial, and style guide assets, the annual needed to involve all of the key components of the TV series: engaging and dynamic characters, accurate dance technique, and friendship and romantic relationship struggles and triumphs.
The annual is packed with entertaining activities, quizzes and personality tests – including one which will reveal who their perfect duet partner would be! Tweens can learn even more about the characters they know and love, learn dance moves and choreograph their own routines, receive hair, makeup and lifestyle tips. Perfect for fans of dance!
The annual was sold on the merchandise stand at the live Next Step tour and was showcased in the People's Book Prize.
